Framed by Water

This garden design focused on enhancing the existing landscape by preserving and elevating the established plantings while drawing greater attention to the central water feature. The existing hardscape was replaced with softer, more natural materials to create a more cohesive and inviting atmosphere. New raised weathered steel planting beds were introduced to add structure and contrast, while also enriching the planting palette with layered, textural vegetation that brings a sense of lushness and refinement to the space. Inspired by a blend of relaxed Japanese shade gardens and sun-drenched Mediterranean landscapes, the design balances calm, contemplative moments with vibrant, resilient planting areas, resulting in an elegant and harmonious outdoor environment.
