Forest Housing
Client: Belmont Housing Association | 2025 | Portland, OR.

This landscape design was created for a housing association in Southeast Portland, focusing on a lush, modern, and calming aesthetic around the building’s perimeter. Each planting cutout corresponds to an individual home; using a consistent plant palette, we arranged each space uniquely to create visual variety and interest. The design features hardy native and complementary species to evoke a forest-like atmosphere, enhanced with natural elements such as boulders and logs to suggest a woodland understory. Because the cutouts are small, we incorporated mounded garden beds to provide additional root space and add height, depth, and sculptural dimension to the overall landscape.
